Major supplier AVS Fencing and Landscaping Supplies has been acquired by Lawsons Holdings Ltd – Lawsons Timber, Building & Fencing Supplies.

Lawsons is a well-known family owned business operating from 17 branches throughout London and the South East.

AVS will retain its brand identity and continue to operate separately under the direction of its managing director Stewart Pierce. Lawsons, under the guidance of chairman Simon Lawson, will assist in the future growth and development strategy of AVS.

Established in 1993, AVS currently has ten branches employing over one hundred and twenty members of staff in the South and East of England majoring in fencing and hard landscaping materials.

AVS founder, Ian Faires, said: “The values and ethos of both companies run in parallel and I had no hesitation in deciding that Simon and his team were the perfect fit going forward. I am very proud of what we have all achieved at AVS during the past twenty-seven years and now is the right time for this move to take place.

“With our majority shareholder and founder Ian Faires preparing to step down at year end, finding a new likeminded partner to assist and support our future was imperative. Having known Simon for many years it’s a perfect outcome for both businesses and we look forward to working with the Lawsons team.
