Cova Security Gates, a leading manufacturer of quality perimeter security equipment, have announced appointments to its board of dierctors.

Being recognised for its continued innovation and commitment to customer service these appointments come at a significant time for Cova, as it celebrates 30 years in business.

Both are from within the business. Adrian Lewis’ position as commercial director has been formlaised after his appointment 18 months ago. He has been with Cova since 2012 and held the role of commercial director since 2016 leading the service, sales and field engineer growth and strategy, as well as implementing business development globally. His position on the board is aimed at adding greater strength to the commercial direction and strategy of the business.

Operations director Jon Trott has also been appointed tio the board. He joined the business in 2013 taking responsibility for the company’s processes and compliance. His understanding of the industry is well respected as for the past two years he has sat on the council of the PSSA (Perimeter Security Suppliers Association). Last autumn he was promoted to operations manager, overseeing day to day functionality of the design, production and field service engineering teams.

They join existing board directors Susan Wear, finance & HR; Mike Volpin, non-executive eirector and Gerry Cowan, managing director, who said : ‘The business has a strong management team in place delivering a well-resourced strategic plan and these high-level appointments demonstrate crucial leadership commitments in taking the business forward
