CLD Fencing Systems has won the contract to supply almost 5km of its 2.1m high Eclipse Mesh Fencing to the Mersey Gateway Project in Cheshire. The project will see the building of a brand new £600m six-lane toll bridge over the River Mersey between Runcorn and Widnes.
Expected to open in autumn 2017, CLD Fencing Systems was approached to assist with the design of a perimeter security solution for the site.
Northern sales director Russell Wells, who liaised with the consortium on the contract, said: ‘Looking at the current and ongoing security needs for the project; it was apparent that the product of choice was our Eclipse Fencing System. With its wrap around steel security clips and 30mm projecting steel spikes, we have been able to design a system that meets all the requirements for the Mersey Gateway.’
The Eclipse mesh panel was designed for commercial and business sectors.
Manufacturing is set to begin within the next two months.
