Post Driver Course is Route to Lantra Certificate

Training providers FaCT and Lantra have combined to launch a new approved mechanical post drive course.

The course is aimed at those who use mechanical post drivers, either tracked, tractor mounted or lorry and excavator mounted and has been developed for agricultural, VRS, highways and general boundary fencing installers.
Lantra approved and assessed, the one day course can be delivered at any venue in the UK, with the option of candidates using their own machines which can help in improving the relevance of the training. It covers Health andSafety legislation i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act, PUWER; machine knowledge; hazards associated with using post drivers; pre-start and post-start checks; machine preparation and close down; safe operational methods – transporting, manoeuvring and driving post; basic maintenance; troubleshooting; PPE requirements.

Optional units for demountable (tractor, Lorry, etc) and excavator mounted post knockers can also be included is required.
Candidates who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment will gain a Lantra Awards Technical Certificate
