A senior estimator has  celebrated his 20-year anniversary at Alpha Rail.

Paul Johnson joined the Huthwaite-based metal railings and gates specialists in 1998, when the firm operated out of its old factory on Urban Road in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

His duties have included pricing projects and liaison with architects and clients over initial enquiries.  During his tenure, he has played a major role in notable Alpha Rail projects including the Athletes Village for the London 2012 Olympics and the restoration of the original Jack Hobbs gates at the Kia Oval cricket ground.

He said: “I can honestly say that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my role here, mainly due to the shared passion for the business among my colleagues and the prestigious projects that I am able to get involved in. Alpha Rail has come a long way since I started, and I’m proud to have been a part of the progression.”
