An international exhibition for perimeter protection, fencing and building security has for the first time created a special area of drones, drone detection and defence.

Perimeter Protection, which will be held at the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg from 16-18 January 2018, will showcase a full range of active & passive security systems from over 130 exhibitors.

The German-speaking Perimeter Protection Congress organised by the Association for Security Technology (VfS) will take place in parallel.

Top-level speakers from consultant engineering companies, industry and security services will discuss practical solutions for optimum perimeter protection.

Topics include drone detection, the challenges of secure access and video content analysis for security applications.

More than 3,000 trade visitors representing industry, authorities, municipalities, building technology designers and building safety system installers are expected.

New in 2018 is the special area of drones, drone detection and defence.  In the light of current threat scenarios, protecting outdoor areas safely and reliably is not just about securing the site itself but also protecting the surrounding airspace from unmanned aerial vehicles that may approach the site.

This bespoke display area will be located in a specially designated zone in Hall 12, where suppliers will showcase their products, solutions and applications for drone detection and defence.
