Association Founder Bob Jennings Dies

Bob-JenningsBOB Jennings who had been involved in the fencing industry for more than 60 years has died.

 

Aged 90, he was at the forefront of establishing the EFIA – now part of the Association of Fencing Industries and  had been made an honorary life member earlier this year.

 

He entered the fencing industry after attending Loughborough Technical College from 1944 to 1945 and set up his own Birmingham based company before it was bought by Peerless Fencing, going on to found another company, Security Fencing.

 

He was also involved in fencing standards becoming a pro-active member of the BSI committees.

 

A statement from the Association of Fencing Industries described him as ‘being at the forefront of the industry, leading on standards and acting as mentor for many growing businesses.’

 

The funeral will be at All Saints Church, Atherstone Road, Grendon, Warwickshire, CV9 3DP on Thursday 16th March at 11am, then afterwards at the Blue Boar Inn and the family have issued an open invitation for people from the fencing industry to attend.
