As part of the Government’s pledge to increase apprenticeships in England by 3 million by 2020, a new form of apprenticeship has been developed called a Trailblazer Standard. Across England groups of employers have been working on developing Trailblazer Standards for their industries.

These Trailblazer Standards will contain the skills, knowledge, behaviours and qualifications which employers want apprentices to have by the end of their apprenticeship.

A group of fencing employers led by AOne+ and supported by Lantra, have developed a draft standard for a Fencing Installer at level 2. The standard is now available to download from the following link Lantra website, under open consultations.

Lantra is anxious to ensure that the consultation receives as much feedback as possible and the industry gains a robust, fit for purpose standard, please complete the surveymand as many people within the industry are being urged to participate.

The consultation ends, close of play on Monday 9th May 2016.

For full details see the Lantra website.
