FCA looks to make links

The new chairman of the Fencing Contractors Association (FCA) has suggested that the organisation will investigate forging closer links with other industry trade bodies.

Adam Binns, who was elected in March, has said he is very much ‘open to talking with other associations.’

These would include the European Fencing Industry Association (EFIA) and the PSSA (Perimeter Security Suppliers Association).

‘We are open to talking to other associations to pool resources and strengthen our offering if it gets things working for the industry as a whole,’ he said.

Established in 1942, the FCA is the oldest trade body of the fencing industry and has some 150 members.

Administration of the FCA has now been taken on by Administration Services Ltd, taking over from Wendy Baker who had held the post of general secretary for some 18 years.
